At Zungo ("we," "our," or "us"), your privacy is our priority. We are committed to safeguarding the personal information you share with us while connecting with elite entertainment, venue, and party service providers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your data when you use the Zungo platform, website, and mobile applications, strictly in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules"), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") of India.

1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a seamless and tailored event planning experience, we collect various types of information when you interact with our platform.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, secure password, and profile picture.
- Event Information: Details regarding your upcoming events, such as dates, locations, preferred vendor categories, budgets, and guest counts.
- Communications: Any messages, chats, or negotiations sent between you and Vendors through our secure messaging system.
- Financial Information: Payment details (e.g., credit card numbers, UPI IDs, billing addresses) are required to process escrow payments. Note: All payment data is directly processed by our PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways. Zungo does not store your complete credit card information on our servers.
- Vendor Verification Data: For Vendors, we collect business registration details, tax IDs, portfolios, and government-issued identification for vetting purposes.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device & Usage Data: We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and information about how you navigate and interact with the Zungo app.
- Location Data: With your consent, we collect precise or approximate location data to suggest localized venues and vendors relevant to your event.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your preferences and analyze traffic patterns.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect strictly to operate, improve, and secure the Zungo ecosystem. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Provide the Service: Create and manage your account, match Customers with suitable Vendors, and facilitate bookings and escrow payments.
- Enhance Platform Safety: Verify vendor identities, combat fraud, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and monitor for suspicious activity.
- Communicate with You: Send booking confirmations, itinerary updates, payment receipts, and respond to your customer support inquiries.
- Improve User Experience: Analyze platform usage trends to optimize our app's interface, fix bugs, and develop new features tailored to party planning needs.
- Marketing and Promotions: With your explicit consent, we may send you newsletters, exclusive discounts, and promotional materials related to Zungo services. You may opt-out at any time.
3. How We Share Your Information
Zungo does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your data under the following circumstances:
- With Other Users (Customers & Vendors): When a booking is confirmed, necessary details (e.g., event location, contact number, event specifics) are shared between the Customer and the Vendor to facilitate the successful execution of the service.
- With Service Providers: We employ trusted third-party companies to process payments, provide cloud hosting infrastructure, send SMS/email notifications, and perform data analytics. These providers have limited access to your data strictly to perform tasks on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements compliant with Indian data protection standards.
- For Legal and Safety Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by Indian law, court order, government request, or under directives from authorities such as the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Zungo, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of the business transaction. You will be notified of any such change in ownership.
4. Data Security and Retention
Zungo implements robust, industry-standard reasonable security practices and procedures (RSPP) compliant with Rule 8 of the SPDI Rules, 2011 to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes end-to-end encryption for messaging, secure socket layer (SSL) technology for data transmission, and strict access controls for our internal databases housed securely within Indian territories where applicable.
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations (such as mandated retention periods under the IT Act), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you choose to delete your account, we will securely anonymize or delete your data, except where legal requirements dictate otherwise.
5. Your Privacy Choices, Rights & Grievance Redressal
You have full control over your personal data on the Zungo platform in accordance with your rights under the DPDP Act. You have the right to:
- Access and Update: Review and edit your profile information directly through your account settings at any time.
- Data Deletion & Consent Withdrawal: Request the permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data, or withdraw your consent for data processing, by contacting our support team or the designated Data Protection/Grievance Officer.
- Location Permissions: Revoke Zungo's access to your device's location services through your mobile device settings.
- Marketing Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our emails or adjusting your notification preferences in the app.

6. Children's Privacy
The Zungo platform is intended solely for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our servers.
7. Third-Party Links
Vendors may link to external portfolios or social media accounts within their profiles. Zungo is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our data processing practices, technology, or legal requirements. When significant updates are made, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document, and for major changes, we will send an email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of Zungo after these changes implies acceptance of the revised policy.
